What to Expect When You Visit Hum

Whether you're joining us for a yoga class, Pilates class, a workshop, a treatment, or simply coming to spend some time in the space, we wanted to give you a little tour of what to expect when you arrive at Hum.

Welcome to Hum


Parking

Directly across the road by the beach is 2 hour parking.
Behind our building is another 2 hour car park (Hardware Lane) with all day parking along the fence line.
If you continue past the car park, there is all day parking by the community centre as well as the sports oval.

Finding Us

When you arrive, you'll find us through the purple door located on the left-hand side of the bottle shop.

Head up the stairs and you'll arrive at our foyer, where you can leave your shoes and any belongings.

Before settling in, please switch your phone to silent so that everyone can enjoy a calm and uninterrupted experience.

Please make sure you arrive on time as we lock the door during class and we don’t want to ever lock anyone out.
If you can no longer make your booking, please cancel through the app so our teachers know who they are expecting

at Home


Make Yourself at Home…

At the top of the stairs you'll find our ‘sunken’ lounge area.

You're welcome to arrive early or stay after class to enjoy a cup of tea, connect with others, or relax and unwind for a while.

We have a little community library. Feel free to browse our books, settle into our comfy grandma chairs, or borrow one to take home if something catches your eye.

There is no rush to leave after class. Stay as long as you'd like.

Treatments & Sauna


Treatments & Sauna…

To the right of the lounge is a doorway leading into a hallway.

Here you'll find:

  • Our bathroom facilities

  • Two treatment rooms

  • Our infrared sauna room

Many people combine a class with a treatment or sauna session for a mini retreat experience.

The Studio


The Studio…

The studio space, where all our classes take place, looks out over the sea.
A beautiful backdrop for movement, breathwork, meditation, and stillness.

We provide everything you need for class, including:

  • Yoga mats

  • Bolsters

  • Blocks

  • Straps

  • Blankets and props

You're also welcome to bring your own mat and place it over one of ours if that feels more comfortable for you.

A few people have described Hum as "Grandma Chic." We’re happy to roll with that.

We didn’t want to create a space that felt intimidating, overly polished, or exclusive.
We want this space to feel warm, comfortable and familiar.
We hope that our grandma chic studio makes you feel as loved, supported, and nurtured as if you were at grandma’s house

Wellbeing isn't just created on the mat, it’s created in the before and after class connections and when you feel seen, supported and a part of a caring community.

We can't wait to welcome you to Hum.

Jordan Moore
